  • The 18 year relationship that I’ve had with this practice has taught me how to better digest and metabolize the challenges of living. It has softened the blow of health challenges and loss, increased my window of tolerance and gifted me a community of people who keep me humbled and inspired.

In 2016, I set out on my teaching journey and completed my 200 hours in therapeutic yoga in Bristol, Vermont.

Self study sits at the forefront of my classes and I encourage students to continually recognize their unique but also universal truths of what it is to live in a human body.

The integration of what we notice on the mat and how we move forward in the world is a foundation of my offering.

A typical class with me shares a balance of movement and stillness, is thought provoking yet embodied, is gentle yet challenging.

I have been practicing yoga since I found it as a means to resolve my chronic back pain 20 years ago. My yoga practice has guided me to find physical and emotional healing in my own life; I aim to lead my students to find healing for whatever their bodies need and to leave their mat feeling a sense of inner calm.

I completed my first 200-hour Hatha Yoga training in 2018; I am also certified in Yin and Restorative Yoga; I am currently enrolled in the BodyAwake School of Yoga certification program. I will always be a student of the practice and I am deeply grateful for all my amazing teachers and the wisdom they’ve imparted. I believe that everything is energy and I aspire to embody that belief through my teaching, knowing that the energy we breathe in will form our physical experience.

I am honoured to guide my students to give themselves this time to quiet the mind and feel into their bodies—to ground their energies and come hOMe to their authentic selves. When we get out of our heads and into our bodies, we uncover extraordinary secrets! My yoga classes facilitate this journey to realization through slow hatha flows, breathwork, yin and restorative poses—modifying when needed, and respecting how each student feels at all times. I enhance the physical experience with essential oil infusions to stimulate the senses and gentle Thai massage to deepen release. I look forward to exploring the practice of yoga with you.

  • Hi, my name is Christopher Kim (or CK for short), the co-founder of Release Breathwork. Our core mission is a simple reminder that YOU are the greatest source for healing.

My Breathwork journey began in 2020, while I was searching for ways to find greater meaning. After studying different Breathwork techniques, I found my way to Conscious Connected Breathwork (CCB) and it transformed my life in just one session. I immediately felt the calling to become a facilitator and bring this transformative experience to as many people as I could.

Conscious Connected Breathwork is a powerful and safe way to reach a deep connection to our body and our minds. It floods the body with oxygen and energy, with both physical and emotional benefits. I place a high importance on creating a safe space filled with vulnerability and compassion so each individual can feel supported through their experience. The Universe needs healthy masculine energy, and my goal as a Breathwork facilitator is to provide a safe, loving environment to experience this.

I can’t wait to meet you all!

    Peace and Love,

    CK

  • Premadasa dipped his toe into the vast ocean of yoga in 1998, beginning his journey to explore the roots of his cultural heritage. Through immersion into various lineages of hatha yoga, a thirst to learn more about classical ashtanga yoga developed to better serve students of varied age and experience.

His interest in the philosophy, practice, and spiritual devotion of ashtanga yoga brought him into contact with Yogananda’s Autobiography of a Yogi, a book of tremendous spiritual significance for the 20th century and shortly thereafter he became a student and practitioner of Babaji's Kriya Yoga.

He became a student and a counsellor of Ayurveda to gain a deeper understanding of yoga for practice and teaching. The practical sciences of Yoga and Ayurveda gave Premadasa the empowering experience of gaining control and independence over his health.
